Looks like a really nice keyboard

This is my first time using Cherry switches and they feel quite nice although I think green would suit me better. The keyboard is solid. It's nice and heavy, doesn't flex or creak, and the rubber feet on the bottom are great. The color scheme of the light gray version is nice and gives it a late 90's/early 2000's look that I like. Another great thing is that it has the ability to lock the Windows key. The keycaps don't have much texture, but they feel good. I think I'll probably replace them with a set with a larger legend, which should make it easier to see in the dark considering it's not. There is a backlight. What's also really good is that the USB port is recessed, which was a major reason for the purchase. I originally wanted a Whirlwind, but what put me off was the micro USB connector that sits flush with the back of the case. This is really bad news for the long-term durability of this connector if you're like me and your keyboard doesn't always sit perfectly still and something can hit the connector. There's also USB-C, so DURGOD gets a lot of credit for not being stuck with Micro-USB in the past. I would have preferred a full size keyboard with blue switches in this light gray colour, but for some reason this isn't offered through Amazon, although it is through a few other sites. I don't know why it is like this. I'm thinking of bringing this back through Amazon and buying the full version instead of kprepublic. I don't understand why Amazon offers the TKL version in all its variations but not the full version, it doesn't make sense.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not trendy
