Very light. Consider a parachute with a heavier filler. It doesn't look or feel cheap as you might think. It looks and feels very different. I bought the California King and it fits great. The pads fit perfectly. I bought the gray one and if you look at the picture the smallest dials on the cover next to the big ones have a subtle gold color which is beautiful in person. This is a very good buy. Not like WalMart blankets that look cheap and make you sweat at night. This case is completely different. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for the thread, about 10 inches long, which was uncut when I received it. I just cut it myself. This is great for sleeping. It's very soft and comfortable. I'm used to a heavier blanket (cotton on the outside, polyester fiber on the inside) that feels more like a hug at night, so what makes it different is that it's light. If someone like me has hot flashes from menopause, this blanket is a dream come true! I no longer have to shed my blanket at night!
