Review on πŸ” Analyzing Engine Performance: The AEM (30-4110) UEGO Air/Fuel Ratio Gauge by Matt Minette

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Outstanding bandwidth, wide gauge, easy installation

Absolutely outstanding value for money. So much value for $150 is amazing compared to what you got for your money 15-20 years ago. Then you paid more and didn't even get a sensor, let alone a good one with easy installation. The sensor is easy to read, reacts quickly and looks nice. It doesn't flicker or anything, so I don't know why people are complaining about annoying flashing lights. So far the brightness seems to be right for every situation, and you won't notice it until you glance at the windscreen pillar - maybe it's annoying with the dash mount, the LED courtesy lights, or whatever. I do not know. Every car is different. But I had no problems with my NA miata, even in bright sunlight with the top down. Installation was easy and hassle free, except for the firewall routing. If you have easy access through your firewall and the 12V/GRND/signal wires are already out of the way, this should take less than 5 minutes. Everything worked for me in about 2 minutes. then 2 hours later i installed it on my dashboard. Another two hours were devoted solely to wiring the firewall and dashboard. Pulling square cable connectors through the firewall was annoying, but it was the worst. With practice I could probably reduce this to 15-20 minutes. The sensor feels a little flimsy compared to an autometer (which feels like it's metal or something), but you'll never touch it once installed, so that's a minor issue.

Pros
  • Gauge Sets
Cons
  • Low maintenance
