The device failed immediately after 30 days; Phono input not properly grounded; Bluetooth is very greedy

I bought it to use with a player I'm restoring. Problems started almost immediately out of the box: the VHF antenna connector bent as if it had been hit en route. This is a small issue, I ignored it. As soon as I plugged my vinyl into the phono input, I noticed an insistent hum coming from the 60Hz line. I've emailed Pyle support to see if I'm doing something wrong. About a week later they sent me a message asking me to toggle the CD/PHONO switch on the back panel. There was no such switch on the device I sent you the specs and model number of in a support request. About a week later I was offered to ground the chassis. Does that lead me to my first major complaint? **Why doesn't the unit come with a grounded plug?** After replacing the 2-prong power cord with a 3-prong and connecting the ground to the chassis, the unit played the PHONO inputs with no noise, and I did am (mostly) happy. I'm not a music lover, but the sound was decent for my purposes. The next complaint was also related to the design: **Bluetooth**. This is the most greedy Bluetooth connection I've ever experienced. If you pair your device with this device, every time you turn it on, Pyle will pair with your device and start playing immediately. Consider a case where someone previously plugged in their phone to play music. The next time someone else comes and hits on Pyle and the other person does their own thing in their room; Her phone instantly connected to Pyle, and whatever was playing on her phone was now streamed into the house by Pyle. I will allow your imagination to come up with many reasons why this could be problematic. Likewise, FM station memories are not retained after the device is turned off. I assume you have to keep the device turned on if you want to use this feature. Anyway, I've decided not to use Pyle for Bluetooth playback and keep it in PHONO mode. After four or five weeks (just past the 30 day return period) it stopped making noise. All the front panel indicators worked, but there was no sound, regardless of the combination of inputs and settings. I looked inside and saw burn marks around one of the power transistors. I sent another request to Pyle support and another week later they asked for my receipt to see what my warranty situation was. After another 3-4 days, the support specialist gave me an address in Brooklyn, New York, where I can send the device for repair "free". I sent them a receipt for $19 shipping hoping they would keep their "free" promise. I don't have high hopes for a quick return of the device. Knowing what I know now, I would definitely NOT recommend buying this device. Not only are the design flaws, their support staff, while nice enough, seem so overworked that they take up to a week to respond to customers. I'm concerned that the warranty doesn't include a refund for shipping, in which case sending the device in for repair would probably cost as much as buying a new one.**6 Month Update** That greedy Bluetooth feature, that I mentioned? This no longer works: There is no pairing; doesn't even go into pairing mode. Technically, I didn't buy the device for its Bluetooth capability, so it doesn't really bother me, but it's another sign of poor quality. Low price -> low quality -> don't expect it to last long.
