Delta faucets installed in our 10 year old home. Cartridge valve blocks are awesome, but wear out a bit after 10 years of daily use. I removed the faceplates of our shower controls and was able to see the cartridge model number. I ordered and installed this replacement cartridge model. There's Murphy: He has a hot side and a cold side of orientation, not clearly marked. I guessed wrong. But a shower test showed the controls were working incorrectly, and I simply removed the cartridge, rotated it 180 degrees, and reinserted it. That was about 8 weeks ago and we haven't had any problems.
