We have a lightbulb in the basement that turns on and off with a cord. A cord broke 2 years ago, so we turn off the light by partially unscrewing the bulb and tightening it if necessary. But I'm a small person and it wasn't perfect. I had to lug a rickety chair to stand on. I saw flashes of my death with every turn of the lightbulb. This lamp is perfect. He feels my movement as soon as I enter the room. When I'm using the washing machine in a corner, it can't always pick up small movements because it's too far away for that, but if I bring my hand closer to it, it turns on again. If I'm standing directly underneath, it should pick up even tiny shifts in movement because it won't turn off while I'm standing still. I think if I spent a lot of time in the basement it would annoy me. should be constantly moving, but where it is is in main memory, so it doesn't turn off while I'm down there. No more risk to life and limb just to see. I bought a few more packs to make sure I have a backup but it's been a few months since the first lamp.
