Installed the protective film after the screen broke from a fall. Since then I've dropped the phone several times, nothing has jumped. Maybe it protects, or maybe I'm lucky. The finger glides easily and comfortably. Glass is not scratched. It's imperceptible. It doesn't dim the screen. My first install wasn't perfectly aligned so I removed it after a few months. This first screen didn't catch on the edge I lifted it from. It can be completely removed with no consequences to the phone, so I installed a new one and oriented it differently (three screens included). The paper stickers that came with it didn't fit me. For better alignment: Turn on the screen. Examine the phone with a magnifying glass. Note where the original glass edges are. These are your guides. Align the new screen with the top edge and the camera. Work down from here and level both sides. Only touch the edges. Be careful and prudent.
