I bought this charger to charge an extra Toyota Prius battery. It uses an AGM design that should be charged at no more than 4.5 amps. I also intend to use it as a jump starter in case the backup battery gets too drained to power the hybrid system. I have used the charger twice. The first time I was told to run a recovery cycle on my next use as vulcanization was detected. After the repair cycle started, I had no more problems. During the pandemic, infrequent use and short trips prevented the accessory from being charged. This charger is pretty much fully automatic with multiple options to choose from. I am very satisfied with my purchase and can recommend this machine.
