I bought it to replace a large screen projector TV. I wanted a smaller footprint that more than fits. I wanted something that would guarantee the best performance in the games I played (mainly FPS) and that's fantastic for a console plebeian like me. Now I didn't buy it for an excellent cinematic experience with Dolby surround sound. but the sound quality is terrible. For example, the game Destiny not only has an incredible soundtrack, but also an even better sound design. Cannons, explosions, and ship sounds are all incredibly high quality. This TV makes it better to play without sound. Seriously, this is so bad. The equivalent are those extra headphones that airlines give you to watch a movie. It sounds like someone is rubbing cheese with aluminum cans through the distorted speaker box right next to your ear. Now there's an external speaker connection, so that's not a problem. But don't buy this if you need an all-in-one for both picture and sound. Otherwise, his primary goal (reaction time and image in a competitive game) is a home run. I only recommend it for that. But, for heaven's sake, leave the volume knob alone.
