I used this set at a 1st grade school event with 20 kids and it was a HUGE hit! I had practiced the day before to get a feel for the best color consistency and decided to use stencils to save time and embarrassment on my miserable freehand. Have a small cup of water, a clean water bottle, a mirror for the children to see, and plenty of baby wipes ready before you begin. This color set is enough for 40-50 drawings. Thank goodness for the stencils - the kids were able to choose what they wanted beforehand, the stencils were easy to put on and remove and the patterns were reliable! Most of the kids wanted the patterns on their hands so they could see them and lined up again to get the 2nd and 3rd pattern which barely left a dent in the colors and there were a ton of things that they had to deal with. Color consistency is key - too much. water and the paint will spread under the stencil. Start with a slightly damp brush (gently wring out the water with a paper towel) or lightly spray the paint with water and use the brush to blend the paint to a slightly pasty consistency. When it gets too watery blot the top of the paint with a baby wipe to catch the excess water and blend again with the brush. Glitter is best applied with a damp finger (I used a baby wipe to dampen index finger) and lightly touch the skin around the design rather than over the design to avoid smearing the paint. The pattern can easily be touched up or removed with a baby wipe.
