So not sure if this has a cat approval. BUT assembling the hammock was easy, but not with the included mini screwdriver. The screws that came with it were definitely the ones that allowed the drill to be used. I wouldn't recommend it unless you have a drill or you're trying to drive a heavy duty screw into parts and it will take forever to tighten etc. Love the part where you get to decide if you rock it or want to be immobile. In any case, the cats liked it when it was stationary, so that was a nice feature. I'm only giving 4 stars because it didn't say you needed a drill. But this is a great product for your furry little ones!
