Review on DMC 6105 Plastic Floss Bobbins by Michelle Langley

Revainrating 5 out of 5

These are spools of thread, but they are good spools of thread

If you're like me you've always used cheap cardboard thread spools and they work great, but they're flimsy. They bend, they fold, they cut paper. I decided I'd had enough of digging into crappy spools of thread and invested in this one, the Rolls-Royce of thread spools. Uh, what can I say, they're made of plastic. They are durable and serve their purpose. I would definitely recommend using the thread number stickers that DMC sells rather than handwriting tiny numbers with a permanent marker. Life is too short, use these plastic spools and number stickers. You will thank me. Oh yes, they also come with rings. I don't really need them at the moment, although I see they might be useful for tying strands for storage in a larger project. My kids stole two of these so who the hell knows what they did to them.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • I don't remember, but there was something
