Disappointed with white adhesive option

Not particularly impressed with the white Con-Tact adhesive sheet. I've used various other types of Con-Tact liners in the past, including adhesive and non-adhesive forms, and have always had excellent results. This one seems a lot thinner than all the others I've used. It breaks easier. Overall it doesn't look that nice. It was just a lot harder to work with so I finally decided to apply a patterned non-stick coat over the white to provide an extra barrier and better protection/coverage. For example: On removable closet shelves I used 2 coats and also added glue for coverage and adhesion. AKA: Road to Great Work. Background: I have used shelf paper for several apartments so far, especially in kitchens, bathrooms and furniture drawers. For this current project, I leveled the entire kitchen (base cabinets, wall cabinets, and drawers) at a friend's. We chose white to give it a clean look. After realizing that this particular strain seemed to be of poor quality, I was already locked out due to time and logistics and could not change the brand or strain. I then used 6 rollers to level the entire kitchen and am fairly confident in judging their quality.

Pros
  • Closet and drawer organization
Cons
  • Functionality
