Can't beat the original!

Contact Paper It used to be so easy to find locally, but not anymore. I am so thankful that I loved this seller. I use this plain white color with my Cricut to make stencils for glass engraving and fabric painting. I've tried other brands but they don't compare to the original contact paper.

Pros
  • One Year Trial
Cons
  • Replacement Availability

Very difficult to use

Update - the product falls off the wall. I regret my purchase and would like to return it. --- This product is sticky but I found it very difficult to use and stressful. I wish it came with some sort of tool to smooth it out. I had a lot of blisters and wrinkles and it didn't look so good in the end. I'm a bit confused lol

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • There are defects

Garbage! DO NOT BUY THIS

Very easy to use but if you want translucent paper buy it, if you want something poor quality buy it. 2.3 and nothing I tried to use my wallpaper glue and nothing can handle it so I threw it all in the trash :) It's really stressful, if I could I would want my money back lol so BUY THIS NOT!

Pros
  • Beautiful
Cons
  • Infinitely Sluggish

Too thin and difficult to assemble

This material is too thin and I can see through it. I tried to cover a wooden shelf that had old contact paper taped to it and you can easily see the pattern of the old contact paper underneath. You can also see that where the contact paper rests on the raw wood it's much darker since it's a dark wood. Maybe I just didn't have the right technique, but I got really frustrated trying to apply it wrinkle-free. I'll use color next time.

Pros
  • Good to use
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

You ruined this brand!

What did you do with this product? This material is half or even less than before. Now that's dollar store level junk! Well done all company executives, now you've even ruined contact paper for your own profit. I used contact paper in the 70's, 80's and 90's and it was ALWAYS a thick, reliable contact paper with good adhesion, nothing more, it's flimsy crap and! The original contact cannot be broken! I won't be buying contact paper again, now I'll look for a good, reliable replacement!

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Too dumb

Not the Best: Shelves and Holders

I bought several brands of contact paper to use on the shelves around my house. Compared to another brand, this paper was much thinner, more difficult to work with, more creases that didn't come out, just a poor quality product overall. Another brand I used was Duck Brand. Duck Brand was much thicker and was easier to smooth out after application. The only reason I didn't use Duck for this project was because I needed white and white was out of stock when I bought it.

Okay not the same quality

I bought contact paper thinking it was a quality product. I'm a bit dissatisfied with the thickness of this white paper, have lined our freshly painted cupboards, dishes and glasses, kitchen cabinets with it and already have a few tears (6-8 weeks). I've also used the same branded product in a light color for pots and pans and under the sink (previous purchases remain) and it's much more durable. Should there be a different quality from color to color?

Pros
  • Storage and organization
Cons
  • Clarity

Leaves ugly marks

Says it doesn't leave a sticky residue but I'm just shocked. I used this to cover old kitchen cabinets in a house I rent. It worked great, but it was difficult to cover such large areas without bubbles and creases. It lasted many hours. Now I have to move and it's time to dismantle this "temporary" change. According to the label, it leaves no residue. My whole kitchen is covered in gooey goo. I'm pretty stressed out from moving, and I now realize that I'm going to spend days, if not WEEKS…

Pros
  • Kitchen and dining room
Cons
  • Protection

Disappointed with white adhesive option

Not particularly impressed with the white Con-Tact adhesive sheet. I've used various other types of Con-Tact liners in the past, including adhesive and non-adhesive forms, and have always had excellent results. This one seems a lot thinner than all the others I've used. It breaks easier. Overall it doesn't look that nice. It was just a lot harder to work with so I finally decided to apply a patterned non-stick coat over the white to provide an extra barrier and better protection/coverage. For…
