Momentary cloudiness as the light show charges up. Somehow, I came to the conclusion that I should leave it on at all times in order to monitor the battery level in real time, and so that's how I read the relevant section of the manual. Checked Reddit and saw I wasn't the only one. The standard response from support is that nothing should burn while the machine is running. The charge status and mouse on/off switch will trigger the light show. Try before you buy is my advice. I think it's a lot smaller than it appears. The mouse is standard, but all of my purchasing decisions were influenced by commercials.
