Review on ๐Ÿ“ธ Sabrent Flexible Tripod Bundle with Ball Head, Optimized for Standard Tripod Mount (GP-TRPD-TBHD) by Tony Weber

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Solid, strong, stable, with metal mounting screw. Perfect fit for the price.

The most important thing here I think is that the screw that secures your camera is metal. Before this tripod I bought two others, both had a plastic screw, shiny chrome plastic that looks like metal in the photos. Needless to say, I was beyond annoyed with these purchases. Those plastic screws were flimsy and prone to breakage (one broke but I got the other back before it had a chance). However, that metal bolt on a solid base doesn't seem to be going anywhere. the joints are all tight. I don't plan on using anything heavier than a GoPro, but I can easily see that this tripod can handle the weight of a much larger DSLR. In that sense, as many other reviews have pointed out, the standard screw has a metal cap that turns it into a DSLR compatible tripod. If I were to personally use a DSLR camera, I would probably buy something larger. Coming back to the GoPro if you're looking for a little more height, I find that bolting my GoPole to this tripod does the trick and keeps the camera higher. It'll be a little less stable so you'll have to spread your legs a bit, but the female strap attachment point is perfect for the male screw that usually holds the camera. I bought an optional swivel mount, but after playing with it a bit it feels completely unnecessary. These legs flex and fold enough to accommodate most angles. Overall I rate this tripod as a good buy. My only complaint is that the color scheme I received is black and gray. I would have preferred black and white like the pictures, but I won't make a fuss about something like that.
