The power switch failed after a short period of use. Now the vacuum is useless. The plastic switch is thin and can have loose contacts. But since a few days I can't get it to work at all. The battery is fully charged, which usually takes a maximum of 5-10 minutes and needs to be recharged. This device has the same shape as the rigid model. However, the plastic and build quality is much better. It can be made from a more expensive and less brittle plastic by Emerson. The package includes an expensive battery and charger. So don't compare the high price to the $99 Home Depot version (without the battery and charger). suction power is excellent. The included silencer makes it more suitable for indoor use. I would buy that option anyway. Will update if I have any problems. My stiff wet/suction cable is too stiff and very bulky to remove. Takes up too much space, especially for very small wet pickups. A large one will be left for flooded basements. This battery version is ideal for small pickups. I've been waiting for Dyson to make it for decades. You don't have any plans, so this model is one of the few you have to choose from.
