I was hesitant to buy an "upgraded" monitor but in my opinion it is just as good as the new one. No IPS glow and dead pixels. I bought the extended warranty because it was extended but after a few weeks I'm starting to think maybe it was even a waste of money. In any case, you have 90 days to return it. If anything happens I would buy a refurbished Revain product in a heartbeat.
