They do the job, especially when you put lotion on your heels first. But two things to keep in mind: #1 Any style with gel in it lets you tiptoe when walking or use your toes for traction because they'll slide like crazy even without lotion. But #2, and the reason I won't use them, is because they can actually affect blood flow. I'm a medium size 9 and have small to medium swelling around my ankles. When I wear them, the pain was enough to keep me from sleeping, although I only had limited sensation in my calves and feet. And after just an hour of wearing, they made a deep impression on both holes! I've used these types of products many times over the years and I'm sure they would work just as well if the holes weren't quite so tight. If you don't have edema or circulatory problems and you tend to wear tight shoes, I'd say get them! But I have to try something else
