I am so happy with this monitor stand! I thought I had ordered one that had already been put together, so I was overwhelmed when I saw that I had to do it. I have had a TBI, so my cognitive functioning is horrible. That means I have difficulty with anything that has "steps" (like in instructions). What I thought was going to be a big challenge for me turned out to be easy! the instructions were easy to follow, EVEN FOR ME! Being able to put this together really boosted my confidence! I originally wanted something with drawers and more than one shelf, but I went with this, not really wanting it, but kind of settling on something that was less expensive, which was more in my price range. I opted for the wider (21.3) stand so that I could have room for my keyboard and I'm glad I did. It was worth the extra cost. I had just bought an architect lamp to go behind the laptop, but the base was too big and I needed to lift the stand I already had off the desk. This was the perfect solution! If I had gone with a taller monitor stand with the drawers, it would have been too high for the lamp I'm using. The monitor stand comes with pads to keep it from sliding around on the desk. I then used the extra pieces to put on my 3 tier document organizer that was sliding around all over the desk. This is one of the best buys I've made for myself. I can look straight ahead on my laptop and have plenty of room for my keyboard and mouse. It also helps with ZOOM calls, I look better when it's eye level. I don't look as fat. Also, the monitor stand was packaged in a box, very securely, which was packaged inside of a larger box. I was really impressed with that and grateful that I didn't get anything that was damaged. I don't know if that was previously an issue, but if it was, I would say they have taken measures to avoid that now. THANK YOU for a great product! LOVE IT!
