Update: not so good after 1 year hence downgrading to 1 star. The screen stopped returning to home soon after it was first powered on. Canon said they had no idea, but if we want to box up this monster and send it back for repairs, they'll look at it. No thanks, it's too hard and dangerous to go down the stairs. Then we made a terrible mistake when we bought toner cartridges direct from Canon, who shipped them with unreasonable dropship restrictions and no on-site holding. When we contacted Canon the unhelpful rep said it was only reasonable that we had to stay home all day waiting for toner cartridges. We have never met such unpleasant and frankly rude c/s representatives. Also, dubious, fancy software does not make it easy to scan into a computer. Administrator IDs must be configured. We do not recommend this product! Previous: Bought as a replacement for a 2013 HP MFP. Other reviewers correctly cited the printer's weight. We unpacked the goods and then easily carried them up a short flight of stairs. There are many stopping points for a safe ascent. Great print out of the box. The cartridges are already installed, some packing materials and orange tape need to be removed. It took about 10 minutes to set up and print in a MAC environment. Uses a wired LAN connection to the airport, no Wi-Fi. Ability to print instantly directly from iPad as well as iMac. There was an extra piece of plastic the same color as the printer, which we didn't determine the purpose of. Perfect for our home office; However, the printer has more features and capabilities that we're unlikely to take full advantage of. One word: OUTSTANDING! UPDATE 1 week later: Everything works fine EXCEPT the HOME and CANCEL buttons on the LED console do not work, which was diagnosed by customer service as a mechanical issue and not a software issue and recommended returning the product to Revain.com. We love all the features and the ease of setup so much that we haven't decided yet whether we're going to do it or not.
