Microphone does not work with Avaya 9611G

I work as a consultant and bought this headset as a stopgap measure to use on my clients' websites until I can get a headset compatible with their phones. Although the mic doesn't work on this Avaya phone I will never know what brand of phone they will have until I get there. But they have one thing in common - the standard *handset* connector used in every phone. It was actually quite difficult to find a headset with a handset jack, so I got this one. If I used this all the time I would choose a good Jabra like the GN9125 which I have used for several years and would highly recommend if you have the money. So it's a decent headset for the price and comes with a volume and mute button. Sure, the mute button housing is cheap plastic, but at this price point it probably shouldn't even have a mute button, so I can't blame them. Again, the microphone doesn't work on the Avaya 9611G, but the audio is loud and clear. I'll give it a 4 star rating anyway and hope it works at the next gig. There shouldn't even be a mute button, so I can't fault them for that. Again, the microphone doesn't work on the Avaya 9611G, but the audio is loud and clear. I rate it 4 stars anyway and hope that it works at the next gig. There shouldn't even be a mute button, so I can't fault them for that.
