Using Notebook 2.5 Disk with Wii U

Wii U does not recognize WD 2.5" Notebook External USB USB Drive when a regular USB3. After searching for similar problems, I found that the Wii U's USB ports are not enough Provide power for most USB sticks Drives for active laptops This Y-shaped USB cable immediately solved problems with external drives on the Wii U. We've been using a Wii U laptop USB drive for several months with no problems Downside is that I have to give up 2 USB ports for the drive, but forgoing another AC power supply for an active USB drive is a great compromise. If you're connected to an external 2.5" USB drive, this cable still makes the best external storage solution for the Wii U. Minimal cables possible. No AC cord required. Since it's 2017, I got a tiny $25 Samsung 128GB USB stick for mine Wii U  Bought. The 128GB flash drive is almost invisible and stores everything I have.
