Review on Melissa & Doug Sunny Firefly LED Flashlight by David Alvarez

Bought this for my 4 year old son for Christmas as he wanted his own flashlight for his room. I put the batteries in beforehand and put them in his stocking. It worked fine then. Christmas morning came and he wanted to turn it on but it wouldn't work anymore. I checked the batteries, the flashlight was very hot and there was a smell of fire coming from the battery compartment. I used Duracel alkaline batteries from a new pack. Thank goodness I saw it before my 4 year old found out. Will return. I'm very surprised because usually Melissa and Doug products take the lead. would not recommend
