They had this potential and all you had to do was align the drill head when drilling these tips. As can be seen in the photos, the sealing surface is scratched. Acetylene and oxygen are prevented from mixing by this surface. and they didn't even bother to properly sharpen the tips or align the machine. Note the off-center lace holes. Looks like the blanks themselves are fine. These are bombs waiting in the wings! Of course, one could argue that there is enough ceiling space to sort out the gases, but I'd rather play it safe, the tips were designed to seat at a specific depth for some reason.
