Review on πŸ’‘ Philips Flicker-Free LED Technology, Adjustable Color Temperature (2200K-2700K) by Megan Spencer

Not perfect but ok

Not very smooth. Incandescent bulbs give you a wide range of smooth dimming where they get warmer and warmer, and you can make them REALLY warm with very low settings. This lamp dims in stages (technically you can get an average level of warmth and brightness, but you have a very small dimming range to work with). Below a certain level of brightness, they no longer heat up, but simply become darker. One nice thing about this lightbulb is that it doesn't flicker quickly like other lightbulbs, but instead smoothly transitions between levels of brightness as it dims. When it's flickering due to electricity, it's not distracting, so that's a nice feature. All in all, the energy savings are more than worth the quirks, especially at this price point. I suspect smart lightbulbs are a good option too, since you can control them digitally.

Pros
  • Philips A19 Warm LED bulbs produce 800 lumens of soft white light, equivalent to 60W incandescent bulbs; These bulbs fit standard medium base (E26) bulbs and look like classic bulbs; Not for use with Philips HUE products
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous
