The failure of one speaker just recently:( I looked around to see if I could find anything else for this price that made the same noise, but I was unable. A new wire would make things trendy, but we can safely assume they won't be getting rid of the old foam rubber, wiring, etc. I've had a pair of headphones for four years, and that seems like a good result to me, but I know some people who replace their headphones every year. Some people say the sound quality degrades after ten years, but I haven't noticed that at all (I'm probably used to it). There have never been, and will never be, any comparable options on the market for this price in a compartment with such high-quality audio and sturdy construction.
