Update: I've been using this unit for over a year now. I've found a surprising number of uses for it, not only for tablets, but also for Bluetooth keyboards, audio interfaces, DI boxes, etc. I have several. Only one of them snapped (and is now held together with more black tape). The rest held up well. They are still limited in that they only fit thin sticks, and then only vertically. But they are affordable and work great in most cases. I recently noticed a small crack in the plastic that holds the ball joint and my iPad tends to sag a bit. It's not useless, but it's pretty annoying. This is after a year of moderate use. That doesn't change much in my opinion of the device. It's still a good tablet holder for the price with a variety of uses. I'll probably order more and try to fix what I have with duct tape or something. All other criticisms and hymns of praise remain valid. - - - This tablet holder is specifically designed to mount on a thin (1/2 inch) top of a boom or extendable mic stand. It is not suitable for anything larger and does not work horizontally. It's a one-trick pony with limited utility. However, if you need a tablet holder for stage use, this might be the way to go. . The holder is adjustable for tablets with a diagonal of 7 to 12 inches. It securely holds my iPad Air even when it's in its folio case. The angle is adjustable. she was able to meet my requirements in every case. the clamp works properly when used as intended. However, it is completely made of plastic. it seems that it can break if overtightened, shaken, misused. my experience tells me that it can resolve itself with time, but that remains to be seen. Stronger and more versatile holders are available (see e below). But for the specific task of mounting a tablet to a mic stand, this device works well and costs a little less. I have other tablet holders that I use regularly. I use one from ChargerCity (link below) to connect my iPad to my keyboard. I also use a heavy gooseneck model in my home studio (also link below). Each of them has its own strengths and weaknesses and each is suited to a specific niche. I was looking for a different holder to take to gigs and rehearsals where I don't have a keyboard setup (I also play sax and sing). I believe this holder could be a good solution if it lasts. I will write an update if anything changes.
