Review on Original Thread Net Spool Saver by Sasha Hsiao

The Real Deal

When I got my machine and started my first project, I didn't initially think I would need a spool net. Then, after the third color change, I got really tired of changing the one fabric that came with the machine from roll to roll. I decided I needed enough mesh to at least cover all the coils I would need for a project. This can be 23 bobbins or more depending on the details of the embroidery. This pure material is usually sold in packs of four for several dollars a pack. It was expensive for me. Then I saw this straight 10 yards at a great price. Enough to cover all my spools and leave some for my regular floss or other embroidery threads to add to my stash. What I needed! That's what it says in the packaging at craft and sewing stores, if you can find it there. That's exactly what came with my car. But you can cut it to any length you want. I have over 63 spools of embroidery thread, I believe they are called mini spools, each about 2 inches long. I cut my netting into 4 inch pieces so they can wrap around the wide bottom of the roll and I can tuck a little inside. This way the mesh resists shrinking during sewing, which solves one of the issues other reviewers have with it not staying in place. And I decided to cover them all so I can save them online and don't have to do anything special with the ends of the threads. The bobbins do not have thread end stops. The mesh won't stop them from unraveling, but it will help counteract this (I think one thread reviewer uses duct tape to secure the ends of the thread). I missed 10 meters of net by about a foot. I could probably skip it, but 10 meters should be 10 meters so I contacted the seller. This seller is great. They offered to return or send me some more net. I chose the network as I really wanted and they shipped it quickly. They also got along well. I recommend buying this product and I also recommend buying from this seller.
