Review on πŸ•°οΈ Casio MDV-106B-2AVCF Blue: A Stylish and Reliable Timepiece by Crystal Spicer

Perfectly blue in women's

I bought the original ten years ago and I still wear it, albeit with a battery change and a few straps just to update the look and not because I was allowed to for the original dive strap (rubber, not plastic as another review says). When I saw the two new Duros, I knew it was only a matter of time before I gave up and bought the blue one. I've meanwhile bought one from the Casio Enticer series with a blue dial, so I knew the new Duro would look blue, but my expectations were more than exceeded when I opened the box. I gave the Enticer away as soon as the blue Duro arrived. With the dial and bezel covered in the same glossy blue enamel, the watch looks larger than its big brother and a lot more expensive. The original black and stainless steel model has a red second hand, but I was glad to see that it's gone from this new version. Aside from looking a bit cheap, red is a recessive color that I find difficult to read, and I stay away from watches with red or blue hands, which are also recessive. I just want the date field and numbers to be this big. as in the Enticer series because although I can read the date on Enticers I know nothing about Duro other than digging out my dots. Or my cell phone. Legible day and date windows like most Seiko 5s would be absolutely best, but that's not what worries me more about buying a Seiko over a Duro, especially with the crazy price increases on Seiko 5s lately. I considered keeping the classic dive strap, but for me a big part of the fun of buying a watch is being able to personalize the look with a different strap. To keep it practical when diving, I opted for a black silicone strap, but one of these was flared and notched where it attaches to the lugs, like the straps you see at Bell & Ross or Hublot.
