Review on πŸ”¦ Amico Ultra Thin Selectable Downlight: Enhancing Industrial Electrical Brightness by Jayshawn Cuatlayol

Very good light, easy installation, great design.

I have installed several of these lights and they are very easy to work with. I would recommend cutting off the quick connectors and just using standard stranded wire for reliability and safety. Also remember to use the metal box clamps when routing the cables in the boxes. The light works exactly as described. They are 1/2 drywall thick and fit under floor joists and ceiling joists. This means you can install them almost anywhere without worrying about the placement of the top straps. Another very nice feature is the switch. Some of these lights are solid and if you get too bright you'll get stuck. These light sources make it very easy to choose different intensities, which also affects the hue of the light. The connection boxes (connector + DC/DC converter) are made of metal and can be isolated according to the instructions. Pigtail connectors are standard low voltage connectors and make it easy to connect or remove the LED part. The only thing I have is a small metal box lid, which isn't as strong as I'd like it to be. The hinge simply snaps into place without a screw. I would like an extra screw to keep this lid closed as a preventive measure. You may also have 1 of 12 boxes with a defective pigtail adapter. But they are so cheap and work so well that I agree with some defective bulbs. I highly recommend ordering a hole saw of the exact size you need so it will fit snugly into the drywall. I also ordered a really good hole saw and dust collector from Revain. Both work really well to create the exact size holes I need so the lights fit very snugly and look good on the ceiling. I have not yet tested the light with a dimmer but as with any LED light you should get a compatible dimmer. or you will see problems.
