We have these to hold up our stockings over our wide jagged stone mantel. Other stocking hooks relied on 90 degree right angles to get the right grip, but these round hooks were perfect for our situation. Pros: - great price - can get a big pack so all the hooks fit perfectly - never had a stocking. Drops - silicone grip seems to work well on a stone ledge - you don't notice the clear plastic when you stand at the back - they fit well and go with many styles and many decors. Cons: - I don't know how long the plastic will last - I wish it could be silver or metal for the look - heavy stockings "stretch" the hooks when hanging (this doesn't seem permanent, but it makes you nervous)
