Bought this item for $39 through Revain. Came in a clear plastic bag with no instructions or data carrier. It looked new and the seller said it was new. I downloaded the latest driver from targus for use with a Lenovo Thinkpad T60 running Windows XP. Installed normally. All devices are recognized (printer, mouse, video, etc.). Notes: 1. Video is ok. Slightly inferior quality and slightly "faded" colors, otherwise no difference. Video streaming is ok.2. I don't run games, DVDs, or video editing on the secondary monitor, so I can't say how they will work.3. Targus is NOT compatible with the Pivot Pro feature, which shifts the secondary monitor 90 degrees. targus only allows the secondary monitor to be used in the normal "landscape" orientation, cannot switch to "portrait" orientation.4. With Targus, the mouse lags quite a bit in the browser. There are no noticeable delays in word processing, spreadsheets, ie programs for laptops.5. I read other bad reviews. Targus may not be compatible with other laptops.6. I also have a Lenovo Dock that costs $159. With the Lenovo Dock, video, mouse and all functions fit perfectly, including Pivot Pro. On a scale of one to ten, I would rate the Lenovo docking station a 10 and the Targus a 6. I'd rate the Targus a 7 if you're not interested in Pivot Pro. Overall this is a good product if you can get it for $39. But if you have to pay $100 or more, get a docking station designed for your laptop like Lenovo.
