Review on Versatile Leather Waist Pack For Outdoor Activities - Slim Cell Phone Purse And Wallet With Zipper - Perfect For Men And Women On The Go! by Brian Trotter

Good materials, unsatisfying craftsmanship

In searching for a new waist bag I decided I didn't want to go the usual route. Leather is cool, very European, etc. I've been using a hand-me-down leather waist bag from the 1980s and it's just about toast, so I wanted to get something similar. After receiving this leather bag, I now know why most on ebay seem to veer toward the classic, no frills fanny packs, like the best selling Jansport pack that you'll see if you sort by average customer rating. The bag itself is designed well and is made with good materials. The leather seems fine enough in quality. The strap is sturdy. The clip is in a good spot, close to the bag itself for easy unclipping. I wear these bags across the chest, and it looks very good worn that way. However, the execution of the design leaves much to be desired. The main compartment zipper terminates in a little flapping thing that could easily have been sown to the body of the bag, but instead dangles around. As for the zippers themselves, they don't actually close all the way. Only the rear zipper closes without there being a significant gap. Speaking of gaps, the front compartment has an obvious hole in its bottom right corner, where the zipper terminates. I wouldn't want to transport diamonds, loose pills, or any such small objects in this bag. For other things it should be fine.Really, it's a decent bag for the money, materials considered. I'll give it a few days before deciding whether or not to return it.

Pros
  • The waist pack is water-resistant, protecting your valuables from getting wet during a sudden downpour or splash
Cons
  • The bag may not have enough protection against the elements such as rain or snow
