Review on 🔳 Leviton 4-Gang Decora Plus Screwless Snap-On Mount Wallplate in White by Bobby Inappropriate

I received this 4 speed Leviton screwless plate and several Lutron Claro 3 and smaller screwless plates on the same day. The contrast between the two was immediately apparent as I installed everything within a few hours. The Leviton uses an auxiliary plate that must be slid over the top screws of the switches and then "snap" the bottom onto the bottom screws. Doing this with 4 switches (2 timers, 1 dimmer and 1 normal switch) wasn't easy. The end result was that I was unable to align and flush the 4 switches due to the incorrect shape of the wall/junction box/switch hitting wires in the junction box etc. I had a similar situation with the Lutron Claro 3 junction box, but the same issues. turned out to be no problem at all. This is because the Lutron mounting plate screws to each of the switches using small screw holes in the wall plate. This means that Lutron's switches are perfectly aligned and flush because they screw into the mounting plate first. After the switches are installed and tightened on the mounting plate, you can tighten the screws that attach each switch to the mounting box if necessary; since the switches are screwed into the mounting plate, they do not lose alignment; brilliant! The Lutron faceplate then simply snaps onto the accessory panel and you're done. I will be returning the Leviton and getting a Lutron 4 speed Claro instead.
