Review on Stay Prepared with Totes Weather Works 🌦️ Emergency Weather Radio: AM, FM, & Weather Bands by Edward Mcnamara

Really bad actor. Not recommended for any purpose.

The Totes Weather Work Emergency Weather Radio is a great value radio and you usually get what you pay for. But in this case you get a lot less than what you pay for. I looked for handheld radios and settled on two: the C Crane Solar Observer radio and the Totes emergency weather radio. The small size makes it perfect for keeping in a backpack or trunk, and the radio reception isn't bad, but don't expect the same performance that a real radio delivers. The audio from the main speakers is very tinny, but the Totes Radio comes with headphones, which is essential if you intend to use this radio, as the main speakers' primary function is to drain the battery instantly. Two minutes into launch generated about 50 seconds of radio usage, not the advertised hour. Unfortunately the headphones didn't fit in my ears as they didn't stay in. The weather forecast function didn't work for me at all. There was just nothing but noise across the board. If I'm unhappy with a product like this, I usually just pass it on to someone else who would be happy. However, this radio is for emergencies and I just can't give it to someone who needs to rely on it when they need it most. So it goes in the trash. I would not recommend this radio. In fact, I urge you NOT to buy this radio. As for the C Crane radio, the generator start lever broke on the second day of use during a power outage, but the support team quickly replaced it. My hope is that some company will someday make a reliable, well-built, hand-powered emergency radio that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
