I hardly feel anything when I use this lip buffer. I can smell cinnamon, but it doesn't burn my lips at all. The tint makes the blood rush to the surface and temporarily gives the lips a plumper look. The product is very thin, not shiny or sticky. In fact, it can be a good top coat over matte lipstick. When worn alone it adds a bit of shine and a little sting but I didn't notice any puffiness. Only one plumper I used gave me visible results and it was made by DuWop. Stung like crazy but made my lips rosy red and plump - for a while. This one is much softer. I love the shine I get and it even seems to moisturize my lips a bit, but as plumper as it is, it lets me down like several dozen others I've tried over the years.
