I've been using it for 10 months now and it's great!

I bought it in October, when there were practically no reviews on this device. There were no reviews on YouTube, and there was no way of guessing what I took. At $35 I figured it was a cheap office solution I could use. If it didn't work I could return it, and if the cleaning crew stole it I wouldn't get upset about it. Other than that, I was just hoping it would be a normal improvement over my laptop at work. Anything would be an improvement as my work laptop only has a mono output and literally sounds like dog poo to my ears. After trying it for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised at how good it is. While it would be nice if the amp put out a little more power, it would negate the fact that it doesn't need a wall wart. I have many low impedance, high sensitivity portable headphones to use with it. All worked perfectly. The hardware equalizer is surprisingly good too! The bass boost is nice with some of my more screeching and rolling bass headphones. However, the treble boost with the sound change has a bit too much grain for my taste. For most headphones I leave it neutral. All in all, this is a nice feature and better to have than not to have. As said, this isn't a wall amp so don't expect hard drive headphones to be loud. You will not. It usually delivers more performance than a PC sound card, but it won't be much more. The microphone line is also great for gaming setups. Seriously great. I personally don't use it at home, but I bought the device for a friend to use solely for gaming and he's loved it ever since. There is no need to reach to the back of the computer to unplug both 3.5mm jacks. All of this is on the front of the device on his desk. Which makes this device very convenient. As for durability, it lasted 10 months for me. I've moved it back and forth between home and office a few times, but not often. However, most of the time he sits at the table and does the work that I need. I wouldn't expect him to survive being thrown across the room, and I wouldn't. As I sit here I am using Syba Sonic with Spotify Premium and my Beyerdynamics Custom One Pros. Sounds and works great.
