PASS THROUGH doesn't work on Windows 10 PCs Also RTFM

the audio stream is completely bypassed by the Windows Audio subsystem and then decoded by the built-in Syba DAC. For this to work you need to install an end-to-end driver that can be downloaded from the Syba website. HOWEVER, the driver is out of date and cannot be installed on my Windows 10 Pro x64 system. The manual tells you to go to "http://www.drivers-download.com" for the latest drivers, but there are no new drivers. Not to mention that I won't be installing anything from that dubiousโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Can't remember

You will not be disappointed

My review is for the Syba Sonic SD-DAC63057 24bit 96KHz USB 2.0 device (the one with the big handle on top). Big. - Windows 7 automatically recognized the devices and installed the appropriate drivers (< 2 minutes) - The device was displayed correctly on playback devices. A: It's a bit unique. The device has two "presetsโ€, so to speak. Adjusting to the treble marker (T) emphasizes the high frequencies (ghost), and adjusting to the bass marker emphasizes the bass much more. I'll stick withโ€ฆ

Perfect for what I wanted 10/10

This is my first USB based headphone amp so I have no comparison. But I will say that I bought it to transfer my music to my Grado SR80e to listen to music. If you know anything about the Grado SR80e, you know they sound decent, but these are Grado's budget headphones. I figured I didn't need a $300 headphone amp to drive $99 headphones, and so far I'm right. It was easy to set up with Windows 10, just plug and play. It worked for me at 24bit/96kHz in 5 minutes with no issues. It's small enough

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Not sure

Pros: The Syba Sonic product is well built with an aluminum body and smooth volume control. The headphone jack on the front (2 sizes) is more than enough to connect my Sennheiser HD555 headphones. The input is only digital (USB). There is an analog audio line output on the back, controlled by the volume knob on the front. The rear audio output can be used to drive powered speakers. In combination with the included trial version of the JRiver Media Manager software, the audio output can beโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Headphone jack
Cons
  • Not as good as it says it is

Great little budget combo amp DAC

Great little headphone amp. I've had a pair of Audio Technica ATH-50's for a few years now, I read about the benefits of listening through a DAC and amp and decided to give it a try. What can hurt for 30 bucks? Well, I'm by no means an audiophile, but I plugged the little dude in and upsampled to whatever 24bit/96kHz format the dude supports, and downloaded some lossless music from Tidal and WOW! Even I can see the difference. Aside from being a lot louder than my computer's built in soundโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Op amp: TI LM4562 x1 USB powered

  • Some cons

I've been using it for 10 months now and it's great!

I bought it in October, when there were practically no reviews on this device. There were no reviews on YouTube, and there was no way of guessing what I took. At $35 I figured it was a cheap office solution I could use. If it didn't work I could return it, and if the cleaning crew stole it I wouldn't get upset about it. Other than that, I was just hoping it would be a normal improvement over my laptop at work. Anything would be an improvement as my work laptop only has a mono output andโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Built-in de-pop function to eliminate pop noise when turning the PC on and off
Cons
  • Long delivery time
