Perfect for what I wanted 10/10

This is my first USB based headphone amp so I have no comparison. But I will say that I bought it to transfer my music to my Grado SR80e to listen to music. If you know anything about the Grado SR80e, you know they sound decent, but these are Grado's budget headphones. I figured I didn't need a $300 headphone amp to drive $99 headphones, and so far I'm right. It was easy to set up with Windows 10, just plug and play. It worked for me at 24bit/96kHz in 5 minutes with no issues. It's small enough to fit perfectly on my desk and weighs enough that I don't have to worry about it flying off. Someone said the grip turns too easily and I haven't personally experienced this, the grip for me is very tight and linear. The LEDs on the front of the grip help you know what mode you're in (24k/44k/96k) and if it's plugged in properly (USB plugged in), there's also an activity indicator (although it's a little is annoying, I'm glad it's there too) until you knew data was coming to the device. Personally, I don't hear any noise when no audio is playing, and if there is any noise during audio playback, it's well muted and not very noticeable, at least with the music I'm listening to. it would be a little louder, but overall it's probably loud enough for most things. I also wish the headphone jack (3.5mm minimum) was on the back instead of the front, but that's not really a complaint as for most people it probably makes a lot more sense than having one on the back.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Not sure
