Bought 4 of these kits along with 5 first generation RT-5 kits which I bought as a donation as prizes to our ham radio club for our upcoming Hamfest in November as 5 packages with shipping only 1 cables and software. The cables themselves are very well made, but the software is a little tricky to figure out. At least on my system when I open it the Roxio CD burning software opens and for some reason it seems to want to burn a CD so I have to kill it about 5 times before the software opens the software, at which point it will have an empty table. that has "Band, RX Frequency, TX Frequency, RCTCSSSDEC, CTCSSENC, TX POWER, W/N and a few other items. The icon at the top of the software only shows ? for headers, and after playing around with it a lot, I found that if I click the second set of ? on the right you can select English or Chinese and then read the radio to make contact. You need to select the band (UHF/VHF) and then manually select the receive and enter transmit frequencies as this will not automatically switch frequency and direction (like radio station RT-5 1st or 2nd generation) and from that point use the drop down menus to set CTCSS tones etc. The software will not allow you Can't set up importing .CSV files so use them to extract already existing files I recommend the cables themselves but also recommend using other radio programming software such as Chirp Jerry M.
