Reduced Performance - Power Strips and Surge Protectors

Update: I bought this to convert a single outlet to multiple outlets in my bathroom. It works great for heating multiple hair tools (dryer and straightener) at the same time, but I plugged in a towel warmer and it started not working properly. The towel warmer clicked on. I removed this device and plugged the heated towel rail straight into the outlet and it worked fine again. First review: I installed it for an outlet with two light switches on the top row and two outlets on the bottom. I was worried it wouldn't fit in the socket without hitting the light switch, but while it's large, the part above the socket is very thin. It is adjustable so you can insert three prongs and rotate your hand in any direction. The only downside I've found is that because the bottom isn't flush with the wall, the weight of the cords pulls everything down and flexes the prongs out of the socket when a lot of cords are plugged in. You can fix this by adding some sort of bumper to the back so it's leaning against the wall and can't come out of its socket at an angle. That works great. USB connectors light blue.
