However, it REALLY showed up when I was ready to give up, and it's exactly what I wanted and needed. This is an incredibly good price for a great little magnifier, I think it's worth the wait. This lighted jewelry loupe from Champper is a foldable, compact tool that comes in a simple plastic case. In addition to the magnifying glass, the case's built-in lining contains a small metal circle with two tiny protrusions. Don't drop it! This is a small tool for opening the battery compartment. The LED lights are super bright. As we use them to identify stones, hallmarks and other small details, the combination of bright light and good magnification works wonders. This magnifying glass is a great tool anywhere you're trying to get close-ups of small details. Its size allows you to place it in small areas and it will easily fit in your pocket, suitcase, etc. The 10x zoom is ideal for close-up photography. I can't say much about how it will fare in the gem rankings, but for everything I need it's perfect.
