Day 2 Energy looking for food this morning made me want to feed him! Chronic Kidney Failure is about to face a sad moment of decision. My cat was starving until yesterday. Last night he and his sister came into the bedroom at 2am looking for a dry cat treat which I usually give them at 11pm. Last night I didn't try to give prescription kibble as a snack, it's been many weeks since he's bothered. So I gave him some bites and new food. The appetite is not as plentiful as before, but eaten a little. At 7 a.m., he appeared in the bedroom and performed a wake-up dance on the bed and nightstand. It's been months since he stopped this routine. He ate a quarter of the container it was in, this time I had to crush it. I gave him an appetite pill from the vet, a stomach pill and in half an hour I'll be feeding him again. He may not be saved, but within 24 hours my cat was back to her happy routine. Energetic, friendly, shows up where he knows he shouldn't, on the kitchen counter. Waking up to eat is incredible. My husband can't believe he came home from his first meal yesterday. We are going to the vet this morning to get some fluids hoping it will clear his kidneys. My cat was starving on a prescription diet and refused to eat more than a tablespoon at a time - I tried to feed him every hour to keep him full of food. I've tried all the tricks to even get my vitamixer to like it. He stopped eating the ground beef I sprinkled over his food. Thanks to all the Revain reviews I ordered this meal but there is no fast delivery, it took 3 days to arrive. My friend and I stood outside and watched as we stopped with our phone to make sure we got it. I opened a flat glass, set it down and he ate it like a cat that hasn't been fed in days. She was afraid that he ate too fast and swallowed everything. The vet gave him probiotics and B12 shots. I made a video for the vet so he can see this change over the past 24 hours and my daughter who is a doc will think there is something about this food or maybe just the fact that he has eaten enough turned him back into a happy and active cat. . It remains to be seen if it is too late to extend his life. Thank you to everyone who has written other reviews. I wish I had tried something other than the prescription diet sooner. Your feedback has given me hope and that's all you can end up with kidney disease but as long as my cat doesn't starve to death.
