I used to use Skullcandy headphones. When the popularity of Bluetooth headphones started to rise, I settled on the first/second generation LG Tone (those are headphones with a halo around their neck). Over time the sound became increasingly unreliable and eventually I lost the sound in one of the headphones completely. So I started looking for a set of wireless headphones to use as a replacement. I've had good luck with Skullcandy products in the past and not wanting to break the bank I decided to order a pair of Skullcandy Hesh 2 wireless headphones which I'll break down into several categories. Sound: The sound is pretty good for the price. Nothing to blow your mind, but that's good. Keep in mind that I mainly listen to podcasts. As long as the sound quality is okay, everything suits me. I listen to a couple of music albums with it every once in a while and the sound quality still seems good to me. I would say they lack bass. The rest of the music is ok. Battery life: The description says that the battery life is 15 hours. I swear it's longer. I regularly forget to load these bad guys and they still hang on. I'd say 15 hours of battery life is as if not better than the description (although I've never counted a specific number of hours). Functionality: no problem here. The main power button that acts as pause/play if I remember correctly and the forward/backward buttons. Works as expected. Connectivity: The connection isn't as reliable as other wireless devices I've used. But in general, if you use them in a medium-sized apartment and your device is in the middle, you can go about your business without unnecessary falls. If you run out of battery, it comes with a direct assist cable that also has function buttons on the cable. Comfort: This is the biggest downside of these headphones. They are not particularly comfortable when worn for long periods. I used them when I was cleaning the house, working on the computer, etc. So I usually wear them for more than 3 hours at a time. The foam around the ears is quite dense, which is uncomfortable to feel on the side of the head. The headband on top also feels like it's pressing against my skull, and it's just a rubber material with no padding, so it's quite uncomfortable. Finally, despite adjusting the position of the headband, the headphones always feel like they're exerting too much pressure. To counteract this, I take about 5 minute "breaksโ every hour to give my mind a break. Conclusion: Overall, a pretty good headphone. It offers decent sound, a good battery and runs smoothly. The biggest concern has to be comfort, so before you buy it, you need to consider how you are going to use them and whether comfort is an issue for you. If so, you might want to spend a little more for a more comfortable pair. If you don't think that bothers you then this is the perfect set.
