The first Razer product I liked!

I have bought Razer mice in the past but never liked the way they felt in my hand. However, this mouse feels great and I love it. I bought this to replace my Glorious Model O mouse because I wanted to go wireless. Surprisingly, this wireless mouse is only 6 grams heavier than the Model O and doesn't even need to have a hexagonal pattern on the body to keep the weight down. I spend a lot of time playing first person shooters like Rainbow Six Siege. and Battlefield when I'm not at my desk surfing the web and checking email as usual. Here are some positive aspects: - Very light, especially for a wireless mouse. - I don't feel any lag even if I let it sit for a while - Very handy to have the power button on the bottom of the mouse and having a charging dock to sit on when not in use - Button clicks are very pleasant - good sound, good effort (not too much and not too little for my taste) - lighting is tasteful and not overdone - the surface of the mouse is pleasant to the touch - non-slip on the sides and smooth textured elsewhere - the side buttons are good for placed my thumb. Others were too far ahead of me - Battery life seems great. I'm on my fifth day of use and the battery is at 51%. I use it to play games every day at least 3-5 hours a night and also regularly work at my desktop for at least an hour a day. I haven't charged it yet and turn it off at the end of each day when I'm done mousing for the night. The Synapse software is way better than I expected and I've never had a crash. It's pretty easy to understand and pretty well laid out. The great thing is that it automatically changes profiles for me based on the games I'm running and then returns to my "Desktop" profile after I close the game. Here are some cons (for the mouse and the Synapse software): - I miss the extra button on top of the mouse that my O model had. I wish this mouse had an extra button next to the scroll wheel. Instead, I had to use one of the correct keys. While the right-hand buttons aren't as easy to press for me (since I'm right-handed), I'm getting used to them for desktop use. - I find the highlight options regarding "Quick" effects and "Advanced" effects in Synapse software a bit confusing. The main annoying thing is that profiled mice only save quick effects and not advanced effects. I think that means if you want to use any of the advanced effects they won't be saved on the mouse and I'm not sure if they can be tied to games like other profiles. Before I can really blame the mouse or the software, I suppose need to learn how to use it more. In any case, I wish it were a little easier to understand for novice Synapse users like me. I wish the mouse feet were "slippery". Compared to my Model O mouse, this mouse does not move as easily on a cloth mouse pad. Doesn't mean they are "not" slippery, but they were noticeably less slippery when I changed them. Now that I haven't used my model O for about 5 days, I don't notice it anymore and have no problem moving the mouse, but it would be nice to know that it was at least as free as model O. This can turn into a plus when I get used to it because it can give me a little more "control". To sum it up, I love this mouse! So far it's been great to use and I'm very glad I switched back to this wireless option. There's a lot to like here and the software (despite some flaws) is a lot better than I expected and for the most part seems mature and works well.
