Review on Stay Hydrated On The Go With The Hydrapak UltraFlask Collapsible Water Bottle For Hydration Pack by Jack Collins

Revainrating 4 out of 5

bite valve is weak point

First off, I love these soft flasks. The problem is the bite valve. I use with my salomon pulse belt and storing invariably means some water leakage. The same if I want to pack them away. If the bite valves are clear and won't be pressed against, then they are fine; however, storing them into compartments/pockets like on the salomon pulse belt, ends up with some leaking.

Pros
  • Can be attached to backpacks or belts for easy access
Cons
  • The water bottle may not be suitable for carbonated beverages due to the collapsible feature

I bought a hydration vest for my long runs and bike rides. It came with a 2 liter bladder bag, but I donโ€™t like how it feels, the weight, etc. the vest has pockets for soft water bottles, that turned out to be perfect for these. Light weight addition to the pack, easy to drink out of, easy to take in and out of pack. These are awesome.
