See UPDATE: 7/8/2018 under the original review. FIRST REVIEW: I really wanted them to work as I liked the way the decimal set filters were attached. But really they're fine and I'm almost past my return deadline and don't have enough time to order more traditional replacement parts (Pentek, Dupont, etc.) so I'll squeeze out $57. I bought these because I needed to completely redo the plumbing in the well and install a new water softener at the same time. I really like the upper attachment system. I also really like the way canisters are attached with screws as they can be easily tightened and loosened by hand with no wrench and no leaks. This is good as the wrench is VERY weak and I suspect it will break after not too much use. Now for the cons, except for the wrench. In my opinion they are not designed for serious water filtration work. By that I mean they're probably fine in a house with city water. But here, in the wilderness, with a well, iron and sediment are not so much. Filters don't seal well in canisters and I had to make some thin rubber washers to fit the top and bottom to give them an extra seal when they get dirty. leaked through the first filter (10 micron) into the second filter (1 micron) for three days. 5 days later the second filter passed through the fine iron dust. Dried up puddles with red rings formed on some items in the dishwasher. The rubber washers seem to have solved this problem, so we went back to our previous pattern of changing the filters every three weeks. But it's a pain to even out the shims on the filters and get the canisters to the mount. The reset button sucks. The screwdriver hole at the top is only about 1/32 inch deep, allowing the screwdriver to quickly insert it. Male fingers, i.e. a screwdriver. And finally, there is a tiny pressure relief hole in the relief that only opens wide enough when the hole is facing you. That means a sudden jet of water in your face if you don't know how to wrap your hand around the pressure release button before twisting with your other hand. holds about half a cup of water. Water than just a full filter canister so it splashes on the floor. Okay now I put a catch bucket underneath but with the regular filters the canister holds all the water and can be carefully removed without spilling anything. know what the canister's transparent plastic material is, but it's already darkening with iron. I tried cleaning it but it seems to have penetrated the surface. In contrast, the old Culligan filters we had were 12 years old and still perfectly clear. I see that I will have more renovations in the near future. UPDATE: 07/08/2018 Unfortunately, the saga continues. After 6 days we were getting iron through the filters and our new water softener so this morning I thought I might need to change the filters again. After ejecting the canisters, the blue threaded rings no longer fall out of the transparent canister. The canisters will expand and also absorb the iron paint. I'm afraid they'll burst eventually, so I've ordered some well-known brands to replace. The manufacturer specifies the maximum working pressure as 125 psi. Our fountain pump turns on at 35psi and turns off at 50psi. We also have a 60psi relief valve so bubbling through clear canisters is not the result of high operating pressure. We have a pressure relief alarm system and it didn't work, so there wasn't even one instance of the expansion exceeding 60psi. Too bad, because the design of these filters is very good, and the blue threaded rings that hold the canisters hand tighten and seal perfectly. If the supplier/OEM can fix this stretching issue as well as the cartridge leak I mentioned in the original review that would be great. But right now I can't trust them from the gap anymore so I've ordered a branded replacement.
