Was like this 20 years ago and had no idea what happened to him. I used it the day I got it to fix a couple of doors that were stuck. I could have used something better, but I had a new toy and it didn't take long to use it to remove the old wood that had stretched out at the end. Compared to the old Dewalt, I had less vibration reaching your hand and a tad quieter. . The dust extraction is a new thing compared to my old one and it works very well. I only used the bag that came with it and not a vacuum cleaner. I removed 1/8 inch from the end of two doors using just a piece of good quality 3 yard paper. Great sander and I will be using it to give all my doors a full polish. But I recommend you to always use good quality sandpaper and save a lot of time and nerves. Others have said they had trouble connecting the dust bag, but I had no problems. And I doubt I would buy their vacuum cleaner attachment, I would just make my own. Also, he won't collect all the dust, but he will collect most of it. Depending on the type of wood and/or color, use mouth and nose protection and safety goggles.
