Works great after I download the good driver

Mirkit FTDI USB Model 1 works like a champion for programming BAOFENF UV-5R radios with CHIRP. For some reason, contrary to many Revine and other reviews, Windows 10 PRO did NOT find and download a good driver. Device Manager recognized the FTDI chip, but without the correct driver it was not recognized as a USB serial port. All attempts to force Windows to find and load a working driver have failed. I downloaded the Virtual COM Port (VCP) driver from the FTDIchip dot com site using the link from the MIKLOR site, but several attempts to install a new VCP driver also failed. However, after two reboots, the device manager finally recognized the FTDI cable as a USB serial port (COM 3) and everything is fine. A bit finicky but now that the cable is set up it works fine. I bought this cable to replace the "Baofeng Two Way Radio USB Programming Cable Baofeng UV-5R, BF-888S, BF-F8+ with Driver CD" which is still on sale. on Revain for $9.48. This cable only works with Windows 7, but not with 8 or 10 regardless of the driver.
